What inspires your writing, your muse?
I’m a big fan of using music as my inspiration. I have a very large collection of music spanning from the 1960’s to today, so I have a lot to draw from. I am also an avid collector of Victorian and Edwardian photographs. The inspiration for Antique Charming is this amazing Victorian-era photograph I have of a wonderful looking man standing outside of his funeral home. I was instantly drawn to this photo and I knew I had to have it when I first saw it for sale. I was looking at the photo and listening to Jefferson Starship’s “Find Your Way Back” and I just started to think, “What if…?”.
If you couldn't write, what would you do?
I would probably be either a surgeon or an attorney.
Who is your favorite author? Book?
I don’t think I could choose one favorite author or one favorite book. There are several books that have had great influence in my life and with my writing. One is Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. I also grew up at a time when all of my peers were reading and raving about Judy Blume. I was reading Sidney Sheldon and Harold Robbins. I think that Sheldon’s Master of The Game is amazing—probably one of my fave books. Also, Robbin’s Goodbye Janette is unforgettable.
When did you know you wanted to be a writer?
I was about ten years old. I started writing plays for my school chums and myself to perform for class.
Have you gone the traditional route? Indie route? or both?
I decided on e-publishing for my stories and novels. Both of my current publishes, Books To Go Now and Secret Cravings Publishing, support my style of writing and encourage my creativity.
What advice can you give for writers out there looking to promote?
Spend the time to research. Don’t spend valuable time or money promoting at places that do not focus on your particular genre or whose readers are not interested in your chosen genre. The time that you spend up front—even before you secure a publishing contract—will benefit you and your book sales in the end.
Name three places readers can find you?
My publisher of my short story, Antique Charming: www.bookstogonow.com
As of January, the publisher of my contemporary Change of Address: www.secretcravingspublishing.com
Tea or coffee?
Cherry cinnamon tea.
Morning or night?
I love the early morning, around 5 or 6AM when it’s still quiet or dark. It’s my favourite time to sit in peace and enjoy a cup of tea.
Cats or dogs?
Unfortunately, I’m highly allergic to both, but I love looking at cats!
MY THOUGHTS:

Her website is beautiful! Recommend going to go see it! Also, I love her book cover and the story sounds so good! Can't wait to get my hands on it! Run on over to her blog and check her out!!
I thought this story was addictive and I wanted more! The characters are real interesting and the story itself is unique enough to keep me well engaged. A paranormal with a twist for sure! But it was TOO short! A short short story. I wish the author will work on this idea further and make this into a full length novel with well fleshed out characters.
