Amy writes prolifically.  She has done an exciting futuristic book called Rain.  It  is very well conceived and has originally drawings.  Rain is the protagonist in the book, and she can kick some serious butt.  The drawings are very colorful.  Ami  is very talented and has an original mind.  She is very generous to other authors by hosting the virtual tours,  writing reviews and  putting them on her site.  She also does bookgive aways for the authors.

The Hunted 2060 is an awesome sci-fi romantic 

thriller about the future. The author takes the 

reader on a very exciting trip into a future 

society set in Alaska in the year 2060 - 

into a future that is not like our own. 

The first chapter delivers a cleverly written 

description of the main character and the 

plight that the protagonist must face.

19-year old college student - April dealt 

with the changes that controlled her body 

and her urges. Adopted at birth, her true 

identity was never told to her until she 

had a chance meeting with her siblings 

and was told the truth about her past. 

She was then introduced into a world 

that was unknown yet very familiar to her. 

She fought against the beast within her as 

she continued to control her body from 

changing form as well as her urges 

throughout the story. April continued 

to attempt to maintain a normal life 

while continuing to attend college.

April adjusted to her new reality of 

becoming who she was to become - 

one of “the hunted.” Half human and 

half wolf-like species, April was 

introduced to the “clan” and learned 

about her family and their supernatural/alien 

connection called shifters that can change 

into different forms on earth and read 

minds of humans.

It was intriguing to learn more about 

the future society, the storyline and, 

the characters as the story progress 

throughout the book. The story was 

filled with several twists and turns 

that seemed well thought out.

The characters were believable and 

interesting. The author took her time 

in revealing the plot. I was impressed 

with the amount of imagination used to 

describe the story line, the characters 

and the surroundings. All of the details 

of the future society were woven in a 

well written manner. Just imagine a 

futurist novel with sky cars, hologram 

textbooks and robots to name a few 

coupled with a supernatural species of 

beings with supernatural abilities and 

supernatural twists that are very well 

put together - with elements of a 

sci-fi romance all in one.

I would recommend this book for anyone 

who is interested in reading a good sci-fi book.

My Review

April was one of the strongest herione's I have read. You could feel her struggle between to worlds. Not only being with a hybrid. She also struggled with making the right choice in relationships. I have to admit I love Arken's character better than good old Rogers. There was so much happening in The Hunted of 2060 but you never felt overwhelmed or that you couldn't keep up with the plot. The setting placed in the future, was something you could believe. The way Human's treated aliens seems real, and likely to happen. I could see The Hunted of 2060 hitting the big screen. This was the first book of Ami's I have read. I will continue to look for Ami Blackwelder's books in the future.

There’s a beast in all of us!
SWEET young love and hey nonny-nonny ─ it’s the Shakespeare touch, but . . . Like the bard of old, author Blackwelder ambushes romance with dark pit-traps. She’s good at this and easy to read, because her fantasy hangs close to our real world.

In The Hunted of 2060, as in her other books, she makes weird events totally credible. I’d say she can claim as her own a new genre, Reality Fantasy. Or you can read this as an allegory, set in Alaska, on our changing world. Mostly, however, it is a rattling good story about a lovable girl called April who is not quite human.

She doesn’t know it to begin with, and her guy is normal. This is a good original take on forbidden love. It’s Planet Earth in 2060 complete with hover trains, skycars, robot waiters and hologram books. We have defeated an Alien invasion, yet traces remain of a strange species whose DNA can blend to the form of any earthly creature.

The Hunted of the title are hybrid aliens, resulting from mixed mating with humans. There is a hit squad seeking them out and exterminating them. To her horror, April discovers she is one of these halfcastes, with peculiar relatives. I won’t spoil the story by divulging more, but think polarbear, deer, bird, wolf. Such a family menagerie may seem a bit daft, but Ami Blackwelder’s controlled skill carries this plot convincingly.
